I buy my makeup at different places. I want to learn to find the correct colors. So what is the quickest way to find my sade. And alot of the blushes I see is darker because I am African American. It is hard to find my tones in the stores because I have very pink skin and store foundations are too dark and make me look yellow. if you buy drugstore makeup, first of all, DO NOT TEST IT ON YOU HANDS it wont be even close to your shade. if foundation makes you look ashy make sure to pick a darker color than you usually would. personally i bought a foundation that is one shade lighter and a darker one and mixed it up in a container because i could not find my shade either.
you can try to blend it more too because that might be the reason that even if you find the right shade you will look ashy. as for the blush, go to the store, get in front of the mirror, pinch your cheeks, and find a blush with similar color

Is it okay to use a brush blush for applying powder?
I don't own a foundation brush so i'm wondering is it okay to just use my blush brush to apply loose powder over my face?

I started suffering with this kind of blushing around 5 or 6 years ago (when I was about 16/17). It just developed out of nowhere. I absolutely HATE it and I still have it. I can be talking to ANYONE and I can go red, my face burns up really hot. It puts me off social situations.
I do find if you are more aware of it, or become scared of it or embarrassed by it that it will actually make the problem worse.
It starts out like this: you go red, you get embarrassed by it... after a while when you talk to someone you're so paranoid that you will go red you make yourself go red and then it's hard to control it. It's as if after a while you actually convince yourself it's going to happen and then it does because you work yourself up so much!
I don't really have any tips/techniques on how to stop this, I wish I did! I'm 23 and it basically ruins my social life.
Sometimes I will just put on a foundation that has really good coverage (but doesn't look cakey), like Revlon Colorstay which covers it completely or makes the blushing unoticeable.

Learn to get comfortable with it, lol! In my experience if you're conscious of going red and it embarrasses you, you'll go even redder. It's a viscious circle. When you feel yourself blushing it makes you feel uncomfortable, so if you catch yourself doing it, take a few deep breaths and just carry on. So what if you go red, it's perfectly natural and nothing to feel embarrassed about! Eventually you'll get more comfortable with yourself and it'll stop on its own.
There is nothing wrong with blushing. I blush too %26amp; it used to be very annoying but then when I heard from a few people (friends) that it is cute %26amp; they liked it, then it doesn't bother me anymore %26amp; I am fine with it now :) therefore less conscious of it %26amp; this help a lot!!

believe it or not blushing is a conditioned reaction, probably becaue you get attention for blushing you subconsiously do it more when it happens, you can train yourself to not blush, im not quite sure how that would work, but we did talk about it in phsyc when we were talking about conditioning, i'd say do a little research on contitoned readtion and how you can train youreslf out of them
but in all honesty blushing can be very attractive :)

white heads are harder to get rid of than any other pimple, and also the most painfull. I guess they come from an accumulation of excess oil, and if you pop them, they hurt like heck. You cant get rid of them because even with benzoil peroxide and the rest, the oil still seeps through your pores, and creates more white heads. The only thing that will work is stop using the stuff you are using. You can find some very inexpensive ones at my store on b-glowing.com. They are Papier Poudre and are only $3.00 for a packet. You'll want to blot every few hours that you feel you are getting shiney. These will leave a nice matte finish to your skin and the powder will look like you've just put fresh makeup on. The only problem is that your blush will fade away. I alway reapply a little blush if I feel like I'm losing too much of it.
I would highly recommend a mineral makeup for Blush. It's all natural and won't clog your pores. Neutrogena makes a Sheer Bronzer that you can use as a blush. It comes in in a portable push up brush so you won't need to carry more than one item along with you. Mineral makeup is natural and will not clog pores. If you want to invest more money than in a drugstore brand there are a lot of great mineral makeup brands out there that make Blushes. Bare Essentials, Susan Posnick, Sheer Coverage and more. if you already have frosty pink lipstick then try using something darker for eyeshadow. I don't think green or purple are gonna do the trick.
What you can do is mix it a little.

Once you have that, get the little brush or try a q-tip and brush them together. Mixing them together makes it look more natural.
Pink eyeshadow would be overkill. Too much pink. Something to offset all of that pink, like grey or taupe. And it should be matte also. You already have more shine than you need. I think just one shiney or frosty color is enough, or else you will look like a Christmas tree.

How can I prevent blushing when speakng in public?
In the last few months, I have found that whenever I speak in public my chest and neck get extremely red and blotchy. Sure, public speaking makes me a little nervous, but even when feel cool and confident, I get red. My face stays its nice and normal colour, but my chest gets red and blotchy, then it expands to my neck and shoulders, and it's quite a sight to see.
I try relaxing as much as possible, becoming comfortable with the subject matter, speaking in small groups, etc... but it still happens.
Am I stuck wearing turtlenecks every time I speak in public??
Any suggestions, or reasons why specifically my chest blushes are welcome.

I think you would have to do it so often that it becomes almost part of your everyday routine. Unfortunately, whenever you do something that's even a little bit unusual for you, your blood vessels will want to betray you. Even if it becomes routine, the minute someone asks you a question in a new way, out it will come again!

There is an operation you can get that burns the nerve endings that cause this problem. I know a friend who's head used to go bright red for no reason. He has not looked back since this operation.
They insert just below the inside of your arm and deflate your lung then burn the nerve endings. It is then impossible for you to blush again.

It's not true that you can't stop it, as blushing is to do with the mind.
the more you think about it, the redder you go.
For example, this just might be in my case but whenever anyone goes ';Oh god look how red she is'; or ';you've gone soo red'; i automatically turn into a tomatoe.
Just try to not think about it, at all. Or concentrate on something else.
Like the above answer has also said.. try make youself feeling sad.
I know this might sound a bit eerie, but i usually think of some-one i really care about dieing, and its helped me to not go red

Or have to answer a question when you're sad? Still blush? Try %26amp; get in the mind frame of being ';down'; when you speak. If you're calm, less blood flows than when you're excited. Have you spoken with a family practice dr? (Fam prac dr's treat everything. General term for a doctor that is able to treat %26amp; diagnose it all, all though usually they see a lot of gynies). Good Luck

Now the blushing thing isn't a problem because no one can tell if your going red becuase your face is covered with foundation. Plus it boosts your social confidence to so you can handle social situations.
Make-up / Mineral Foundation literal saved me. No joke. I used to avoid social events, my parents and friends (unless I had no choice) because I used to go soooo red, over anyting really.
Tust me blushing won't be a problem anymore is you try my advice.

I realized it was time for me to get some after examining my face under artificial lighting and really looking closely. If you see numerous acne scars or blemishes, you should consider wearing foundation. You don't necessarily need to have acne or imperpections to wear foundation, just to give yourself healthy looknig skin all day. If you do decide to, try a mineral foundation like Physician's Formula Mineral Wear foundations which don't clog pores and include vitamins that are good for your skin.. As far as blush goes, you can wear it to give yourself a healthy and natural glow. Try a peach shade which is subtle but gives you a glow. Try Maybelline Dream Mousse blush in Peach Satin. If you want a lip color, try a tinted gloss. A good drugstore gloss is Covergirl Fruit Spritzers which have a sheer shiny tint.

Is it possible to learn how to Blush in specific situations? Hypnotherapists state that they can help people to stop blushing using NLP/hypnotherapy. But where a person wants to blush instead of learning how to stop blushing, is this possible?. Or is it like trying to unlearn how to ride a bicycle? I am willing to be used as a guinea pig?

i know that i can make my heart race by thinking of certain things, whether that be arousal, fear, etc. i can make it happen - so if a person were to try to think of something to make them embarrassed or ';on the spot'; i would expect it would make them blush. although, some people's pigmentation might not allow for the blushing to be seen.
i don't know if you could ';re-train'; your bodies natural reactions to certain things that you would blush by experiencing that which would not normally make you blush. i think it is more realistic to attempt to think of things that might already make you blush in order to appear as though you are blushing at whatever situation you are in, in which you would want that to be seen as your reaction.
